Depending on how you use the site, I may handle the following:
- Email list. If you sign up for updates, I collect the email address you submit and any list tags needed to deliver the correct messages. Submissions may be protected by Google reCAPTCHA (see below) and processed by an email marketing provider I use.
- Email you send me. If you contact me by email (for example via a mail link on this site), I receive your email address, the contents of your message, and usual message headers. I use that information only to respond and to run AstonApps.
- Technical data. Like most sites, hosting and infrastructure may automatically collect limited technical information, such as IP address, browser type, and the date and time of requests. I use this for security, reliability, and understanding how the site is used in aggregate.
How I use information
I use the information above to:
- Send mailing-list messages you signed up for and manage subscriptions;
- Reply to your inquiries;
- Keep the website secure, troubleshoot issues, and improve the site;
- Comply with law and protect my rights, the site, and users.
I do not sell your personal information.
Service providers
I rely on trusted providers to host the site, deliver email, and run security features. Those providers process information only as needed to perform services for me, subject to their terms and privacy policies. For example, the mailing list signup may use Google reCAPTCHA; Google’s Privacy Policy and Terms of Service apply where reCAPTCHA is used.
Retention
I keep information only as long as needed for the purposes above, unless a longer period is required by law. Newsletter data is kept until you unsubscribe or I delete lists as part of normal operations.
Your choices
Where applicable law gives you rights over your personal information (such as access, correction, or deletion), you may contact me at contact@astonapps.com. You can also use unsubscribe links in marketing emails where provided.
Children
This website is not directed at children under 13, and I do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through this site.
Changes
I may update this policy from time to time. I will post the new version on this page and adjust the “Last updated” date above.
